The Story of the museum of the Internate
Only those, who have experiencet it, can understand how deep and interfused the internation in the concentration camps was, in which the emptying of the people was scientifically planned.
Don Giovanni Fortin has exerienced this drama at first hand and wanted to keep in memory, those, who didn't return and those, who return with an unbearable Load.
He wantet a temple oof the unknown interned.
He wanted a museum of Internment.
The museum is joined inseperable with the temple : it's the preservation, the study and the dissermination of the facts, of a such derrible tragedy, which you must keep in memory.
The museum mainly deals with the I.M.I.(italian-soldiery-internee), but completed by the research of general Internment by the Nazi.
1955for the first time opened the museum his doors, in 1999 was it restored through the cooperation of the A.N.E.I., the community of Padua and the region of Venezia.
Until the 31.Decembre 2006 managed the church community San Gaetano, represented by Don Giovanni Fortin and Don Alberto Celeghin, the museum and the Temple as pastor and leader.
Since the first January 2007 the museum is managed, after an agreement of the community of Padua, leader of the church community San Gaetano of Terranegra and the national board A.N.E.I., with the federation of the community of Padua and the section of Terranegra, by the A.N.E.I..
